The Club Management Association of America (CMAA) is the professional Association for managers of membership clubs. With close to 7,000 members across all classifications, our manager members run more than 3,000 country, golf, city, athletic, faculty, yacht, town and military clubs. The objectives of the Association are to promote and advance friendly relations among persons connected with the management of clubs and other associations of similar character; to encourage the education and advancement of its members; and to assist club officers and members, through their managers, to secure the utmost in efficient and successful operations.
The Greater Chicago Club Managers Association is the local chapter of CMAA representing over 112 private city, yacht, athletic, riding, dining, golf and country clubs in the Chicagoland and northwest Indiana areas. The Chapter has over 200 members whose mission is to advance professional and social relationships and create success through education. The Chicago Chapter is very active, holding many social, charitable, education and sporting events throughout the year.
Chartered in 1927, the Greater Chicago Club Managers Association is rich in history; playing host to the first National Conference, the first National Assistant Managers Conference and the first National Student Education Conference. Each of the conferences are still in existence, and are now assimilated into CMAA's calendar of annual events and executed by the national office.
